FedallahApr 14, It has a very warm, pleasant natural jbp and is sim I thought it best not to try and clean this because I didn’t want to damage the woofer cone. The L’s are going to be re-veneered with quarter-sawn sapele mahogany veneer from “Certainly Wood”. The refinish of the walnut veneer really made them pop back to life.
The ‘s had a few issues with the veneer, like this chip. The guy was pretty nice, said if I didn’t like them, to call him back. The ‘s are sanded to grit here. It really is a striking veneer. All the components work on these speakers. I’ll be making additional grills with plain black grill cloth, so the new owners will have a choice between the two.

Glue on the strips for the front of the speaker. See each listing for international shipping options and costs. Well, I picked them up. I can’t seem to find any good photos of jbbl without the grills.
Like I said, amazing. Fred SanfordApr 15, No, create an account now. Number of bids and bid amounts may be slightly out of date. I’m not sure if anything else is wrong with 44311. I’ll be using multiple coats of Minwax wipe-on poly, sanding with grit paper in between coats.
JBL 4311? Willi I be disappointed?
Drivers are very clean too, with the exception of one tweeter that has the center pushed in. Log in or Sign up. I thought about filling the gap and painting the grain back in.
Here I’ve installed new gold-plated binding posts that will accept larger wire and connectors. Yes, my password is: I did not repaint the backs of the speakers, perhaps I should have. Boomy bass, ‘forward’ midrange. The darker areas are where I wetted the veneer tape to scrape it off. I still scratch my head over how this came about, but there is a BIG difference. I installed walnut veneer around these knobs to replace the worn out metal plate that was originally there.
Here’s the driver set from the ‘s. Any easy way to tell if the drivers are original?
