When you get into contemporary there is an onus to at least make the story relatable somehow to the reader. Did you like this review? This will most definitely be a re-read, it was just too easy to suck it down in a single afternoon.

It was just a wrong book for me. Cowboys are the only book boyfriend that does nothing for me so it’s shocking how hard I fell. The narration by K. Fit to Be Tied. Do you believe in love at first sight? It was nice to see Calmes staple possessiveness towards the end, but I felt this book was so unlike the rest of her books that I’ve readit’s probably all summed up nicely in this quote: The narrator totally makes it for me.

But then again- this is fiction, suspension of disbelief and all that. Really it’s about so much more than that though.

No, seriously, read it. How do two individuals reconcile their very disparate lives? I did find myself a little annoyed at times with Weber and his insistence that he was going to leave. I do agree that Weber seems “too good to be true,” but this is fiction and does require some suspension of belief. And it really bummed me out.

I loved reading his interactions with the children. It removes sadness, and has special ingredients designed to inject fluffy goodness straight to your heart. Most Helpful Most Recent. This story was such a joy to read that really I don’t know where to start. Weber is a former bull rider, desperately in love with Cyrus, not that he will admit this, and the man whose inner battles are front and center as the story progresses.

Vince is a dedicated biology student and a bit of a loner. Definitely worth a credit. If you are need of a beaming smile and a happy heart, this is the book for you. If you feel like you want a hit of sweet romance, family and devotion then I recommend this book. A definite five star read! He is alone in the world and he treasures his relationship with others, especially Cyrus even in moments when he knows he is causing him pain.


There is something about him which makes people respond to him especially kids. The emotional parts are beautifully balanced with humor and wit.

He spotted the prince in a broken-down bull rider’s clothing from day one. You could like it. And it has at least 3 kids to much for my taste. The thing is that Web is scared to stay put, scared to let himself grow used to being loved, scared to settle into a life because his worst fear is that he could lose it all.

The key question he has to answer before he can settle down is not an easy one to deal with: I loved the authors writing style and both of the main characters were so damn lovable! This will be one I’ll come back to again and again when I’m feeling blue and need a little piece of sunshine. Thanks for sharing about it.

Cy had me rooting for him like I’ve never rooted for a character in a book.
