When a disturbed young Russian man came to Freud for treatment, the analysis of his childhood neuroses—most notably a dream about wolves outside. The Wolf Man, aka Sergei Pankejeff, was a patient of Sigmund Freud; Freud has been criticized for his diagnosis and treatment of Pankejeff.
